Vermont Journal (Jan 2012)

A tale of adventure and woe about a five day attempt to snow shoe a section of the Appalachian Trail from Hanover to Killington in Jan 2012, before conditions forced us off the mountain. I’ve never been hiking in the wintertime before so far north. We bought the plane tickets and geared up without really knowing what to expect. I can tell you that in addition to being cold, the experience was also peaceful, quiet, scenic, and totally one-of-a-kind.
